2022 will see Sorrento and its stunning coastline host the traditional regattas that bring the who's who of international sailing to the Gulf of Naples each May:
67th Regata dei Tre Golfi
Maxi European Championship
ORC Mediterranean Championship
Campionato Nazionale del Tirreno
Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the International Olympic Committee and World Sailing issued policies aimed at suspending the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes, teams, and race officials. In agreement with IMA and ORC, representatives from both countries are therefore banned from the Maxi European Championship and the Mediterranean Championship 2022.
